While it takes each employee across all departments to keep operations running smoothly at Crow Wing Power, one of the more visible jobs is that of a lineworker. You may see one of ours working 35 feet (or more) overhead or maintaining lines at ground level.

We entrust your safety to our lineworkers, so they hold a very important job. We also rely on their expertise to power our world.

As I sit at home during a Minnesota storm, I sometimes think about what it would mean if the power went out. Sure, it is an inconvenience for me, but then I think about the lineworker who leaves their family, answers the call, and heads out into the elements. They are performing a dangerous and demanding job, often in extreme cold, ice, or wind, to restore power so that homes, farms, and businesses stay connected.
