economic development in our region.
Crow Wing Power proudly serve 40,000 electric cooperative members in the three county region surrounding the beautiful Brainerd Lakes Area in north central Minnesota.
We have been heavily involved in gap- and low-interest financing for area manufacturers and retail businesses since 1994. By utilizing the RUS Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant Program, straight gap financing, and CD buy down investments, we are proud to have been able to lend $6,425,260 to a total of 36 businesses. That investment has resulted in the retention of 431 jobs and 361 additional employment opportunities.
We currently have a revolving loan fund of $826,000 and collaborate with all area funders and the Brainerd Area Economic Development Association for the benefit of our community.
Crow Wing Power believes in supporting the economic development organizations in our region. Annually we contribute $11,500 to eleven different chambers of commerce and economic development organizations.
