Nine board of directors, elected by members, determine the policies and procedures of the Cooperative. Monthly board meetings are held at our headquarters offices on the 3rd Thursday of each month beginning at 9:30 a.m. At the annual meeting held each year, directors are elected and are the resulting voice in establishing how the Cooperative operates. Members vote annually to elect directors. Ballots are mailed to members annually to elect three directors each year.

Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws

Voting is easier than ever. Crow Wing Power members can vote using these three options: Voting via traditional mail-in paper ballot, online through your SmartHub account, or via smartphone by scanning a QR barcode that you will receive on your mailed ballots.

Ballots are mailed to cooperative members in the voting districts approximately two weeks prior to the annual meeting (typically held in June). Each candidate's biographical information and photograph are included with the ballot. This information is also included on our website.

Crow Wing Power does not participate in the tabulation of the ballots. All responses are tallied by a third-party election management provider, to handle all voting procedures with efficiency, security, and integrity. Election results are announced before the close of the annual business meeting.

Regular monthly board meetings are typically help the third Thursday of each month beginning at 9:30 a.m. and are open to members. Members wishing to simply attend a board meeting, or members, or members wishing to discuss items of business with the board are asked to fill out this form or contact our office at 218-829-2827 or 1-800-648-9401. The form or phone call should be received by the Cooperative prior to three full businesses days before the meeting to allow for appropriate time on the agenda.
