Electric Rates

The electric rate chart below is the amount charged to members for kwh use. In addition to cents/kwh, members also pay a monthly basic service charge of $10/month. Power cost adjustments for variations in wholesale power charges assessed to Crow Wing Power are also added or removed from your bill. On the back of your bill, you will see a line item for the current Wholesale Power Cost Adjustment.

Rates, or the prices our members pay for electricity, are determined and kept minimal to cover the costs of wholesale power, transmission and distribution, operations, member service opportunities and electric distribution hardware.

We have been able to keep our customers' rates low for many years;

Our members enjoy some of the lowest electric rates in the country as do most people in the Midwest region of the United States.
