Crow Wing Power Board of Directors Election 2016 Results
Crow Wing Power Member Appreciation Day and Annual Meeting Well Attended
On Saturday, it’s estimated that 1,800 people attended the Crow Wing Power Member Appreciation Day and Annual Meeting. A total of 5,003 ballots were cast in this year’s Board of Directors election.
- In District 1 B, Doris Mezzenga was elected with 1,812 votes to fill a vacant seat made available by the retirement of long-time Board member Kay Blais. Kay had been on the Board for 28 years; Robert Ringwelski got 1,264; Phyllis Eck received 1,245 votes; and Terry Usherwood received 579 votes.
- Incumbent Gordon Martin ran unopposed in District 2A and received 4,463 votes.
- In District 2 At-Large LuAnn Nelson was elected with 1,598 votes to fill a two-year term left vacant by the resignation of Board member Lois Hansen; Bob Olson received 956 votes; Russ Nygren had 844 votes; Wendell King got 743 votes and Alan Swanson received 730 votes..
- In District 3 At-Large, Paul Koering was elected with 1,164 votes to fill a vacant seat made available by the retirement of long-time Board member Don O’Brien. Don had been on the Board for 24 years. Other candidates received the following number of votes: Michael O’Brien received 1,125; Bruce Rosine got 1,115; Darrel Palmer had 992; and John Brutcher received 465 votes.
